Abstracts are the lifeblood of any scientific meeting. Presenting your work via a poster or oral presentation can often be a first step for a researcher in their academic career. The more abstracts submitted to a congress, the stronger the grassroots of the scientific community and the more fertile the research environment.

770 submitted abstracts for #EFIC2022

We are therefore delighted to have received 770 abstracts for ‘Pain in Europe XII, Targeting pain and its comorbidities in the digital age’, with over 70% of all submitters indicating that they wish to present their results on-site at the Congress in Dublin in April. We would like to thank every EFIC Councillor and volunteer who helped promote the congress ahead of the abstract deadline, and look forward to seeing the results during #EFIC2022.

What happens next?

The abstracts will now be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee and accepted abstracts will be eligile for the #EFIC2022 Best Abstract Awards. There will be 3 main categories: basic research, translational/human experimental research and clinical research. There will also be an additional category defined by ‘populate vote’.

We hope the research presented in Dublin leads towards breakthroughs that transform the lives of people living with pain.

Register now for the largest European scientific congress on pain. The early bird deadline is on 15 February, 2022.
