#EFIC2022 Health and Safety

We are delighted to announce that registration for our upcoming Pain in Europe XII Congress – Targeting Pain and its Comorbidities in the Digital Age, is now open. We are hard at work planning for a big, on-site, live celebration of science and education in Dublin on the occasion of the first in-person gathering of the European pain community since 2019. Our #EFIC2022 scientific programme includes in-person meetings, interactions and round table discussions with speakers, poster presenters and peers.

We are sure that COVID-19 is on your mind as you consider registering for #EFIC2022. We wanted to reassure you that we are taking all steps necessary to consider the safety of all participants and follow the legal requirements in Ireland. EFIC will also be taking steps to ensure that relevant recommended sanitation measures are followed to ensure that the congress venue is a safe environment to meet. As these measures fluctuate over time, we will provide updated guidance ahead of the event to show which policies will be in place.

Any updates to the policies and guidance that will affect the conduct of the event or the measures to be adopted by delegates will be communicated to you 1 month in advance of the meeting.

Finally, any changes to the environment that make a physical meeting unsustainable may result in EFIC converting the meeting to a virtual-only format. In such cases, any registration costs above the fee for virtual participation will be refunded to you. We will aim to take any decision early enough so as to assist any delegates with refunds or transfers related to their third-party costs (e.g. travel). However, we advise that all costs include cancellation insurance.

While our main focus is on providing an in-person experience with all the great well-known features of an EFIC Congress, we offer both on-site and online registration options. For further details please read the full registration terms and conditions.
