#EFIC2022 Abstract Submission

Abstract submission for #EFIC2022 is now closed.

 

Late abstract submitters will be notified of their status in early March.

 

All abstract submitters will receive their final allocation and technical guidelines in the week of 14 March 2022.

Categories
  • Three main categories: B (basic research), T (translational), C (clinical).
  • Please click here to view the topics under which abstracts should be submitted.
  • Please note that single case studies with concept of n=1 design will also be considered.
Important
  • Only accepted abstracts of fully registered presenters will be included in the final scientific programme.
  • The presenting authors are expected to attend the Congress (either physically or remotely) and present their research poster
Rules
  • All abstracts submitted online will be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee.
  • Abstracts should be submitted via the on-line submission system only; abstracts submitted by fax or email will not be reviewed.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
  • The content of the abstract should not have been previously published or presented at national or international meetings prior to Pain in Europe XII.
  • To correct an abstract that has already been submitted or to submit another abstract, please use the log-in and password which you received when you submitted your original abstract. This will enable you to access the previously submitted abstract/s or to submit an additional abstract/s.
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract.
  • After your abstract submittal you will be sent an automatic e-mail confirming your successful submission. If you do not receive this confirmation e-mail, please contact the Congress Secretariat at EFIC2022@abstractserver.com
Guidelines
PREPARATION GUIDELINES

Abstracts must be submitted in English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university scientific publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission.

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

  1. Presenting author’s contact details
    • Email address
    • Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
    • Telephone number
  2. Author and co-authors’ details
    • Full name (first name(s) and family name(s))
    • Email address
    • Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  1. Presentation type: Poster
  2. Abstract title – limited to 25 words in UPPER CASE
  3. Abstract body – limited to 250 words, including acknowledgements.

Please Note: word count is affected when graphs/tables/images are included. We recommend using word-processing software (for example, Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words.

  1. Abstracts should be structured as shown below:
    • Background and aims
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions

Abstracts that are not conforming to this structure will be rejected.

  1. Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations, in parentheses, after the full word appears the first time.
  2. Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.
  3. Abstract Topics – abstracts will be grouped into scientific/medical topics in accordance with the list of main topics. Please use the appropriate fields in the abstract submission form to list the topic most suited to your abstract. Although we will try to honour your preferences, this cannot be guaranteed.

  1. Tables – A maximum of 3 tables of up to 10 rows x 10 columns can be included per abstract.
  2. Graphs and images – Pictures/Graphs: Authors can include a maximum of 3 Pictures/graphs. The maximum file size of each picture/graph is 500 KB.
    The maximum pixel size of the graph/picture is 600(w) x 800(h) pixels.
    You can upload graphs and images in JPG, PNG and GIF format only.

Disclosure

Disclosure of financial relationships that the author(s) may have with the manufacturer/supplier of any commercial products or services related to the work, should be indicated in the appropriate box on the abstract form.

Abstract Selection and Presentation

All abstracts will undergo review by the Scientific Programme Committee.

Poster Guidelines

On-Site Poster Board Instructions:

  • The size of your poster should not exceed 84.1 cm in width and 118.9 cm in height (DIN A0 portrait)
  • Posters should be printed on paper (no textile) in portrait format
  • Posters printed on textile cannot be accepted
  • Materials to hang your poster will be available in the Poster areas
  • Add to the top of the poster the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract
